ATC declares 18 PTI leaders proclaimed absconders in May 9 GHQ attack case

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has declared 18 PTI leaders accused in absentia as absconders in the May 9 GHQ attack case, here on Tuesday.

As per the details, the accused declared absconders by the ATC include Shibli Faraz, Omar Ayub, Kanwal Shauzab, Sheikh Rashid Shafiq and Zartaj Gul.

Apart from this, Mehr Javed, Muhammad Ahmed Chatha, Rai Hassan Nawaz, Bilal Ijaz, Murtaza Khan, Ashraf Sohna, Chaudhry Asif, Shakeel Niazi, Muhammad Ansar Iqbal, Haider Mahmood, Shaheer Sikandar and Hamza Latif have also been declared as fugitives.

Additional, the court issued orders to seize the immovable property of all the accused, while orders have also been given to the revenue officers of the accused’s respective districts in this regard.
The court ordered the revenue officers to seize the properties of the accused and said that if the accused do not surrender before the court within the stipulated date, their properties should be auctioned.

The court has also issued notices to the guarantors of the accused.
