ISLAMABAD: Islamabad district authorities have acted against a private mart in Centaurus Mall for selling overpriced fruits, vegetables, and sugar, as well as expired milk, according to a statement by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon.
This was done through the Assistant Commissioner of the Industrial Area, who inspected a private market, establishing various violations for both overpricing as well as the display of expired foods for purchase.
In the operation, two people were apprehended and held in the local lock-up.
The deputy commissioner said that this was done on his orders and that the raids for violating rules related to prices and food safety would continue in an unbiased form for the federal capital.
