BALAKOT: The National Highway Authority (NHA) has reopened Babusar Top for all types of traffic after six-month closure due to heavy snowfall.
According to NHA officials, the route connecting Balakot to Gilgit-Baltistan via Naran is now accessible, with heavy machinery having cleared more than six glaciers to restore the road.
The reopening has led to a significant influx of tourists to Babusar Top.
Meanwhile, the Diamer administration has reactivated all police check-posts along the Babusar highway. Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts personnel and Manehra Police have aslo been deployed at key points, including Gati Das check-post, to ensure tourist safety.
