Waseem Afzal Chan was elected as a member of the Punjab Assembly in 2008, while Gulrez Afzal Chan was elected as a member of the Punjab Assembly in 2013.

Both brothers are sons of former provincial minister Haji Afzal Chan and brothers of PPP’s Central Secretary Information and Broadcasting Nadeem Afzal Chan.
