RAWALPINDI: Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that for lasting prosperity in Balochistan, it is necessary to work beyond political interests.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met the participants of the 17th National Workshop Balochistan at the General Headquarters (GHQ).
While talking to the participants, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Balochistan is the pride of Pakistan, where the people are very patriotic, talented, and courageous, who are in fact the real capital of the province.
Referring to the ongoing development projects of the federal and provincial governments, he said that these steps are being taken to improve the socio-economic structure of Balochistan, keeping in mind the welfare of the people.
He stressed that the immense economic potential of Balochistan should be utilized for the betterment of the people of the province.
Appreciating the constructive role of civil society, the Army Chief said that empowering and guiding the youth is very important for sustainable development.
The Army Chief stressed that there is a need to work beyond political interests for lasting prosperity in Balochistan.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir said that Indian-sponsored proxies, Fitna-ul-Hind and Fitna-ul-Kharij, are promoting anti-people and anti-development agendas in the province to incite violence.
He assured that all necessary steps are being taken to eliminate these terrorist elements and rid Balochistan of this scourge.
Reiterating this resolve, the Army Chief said that Pakistan desires peace and stability in the region.
However, any direct or indirect border violation will be given a decisive response to ensure the safety of the lives and property of Pakistani citizens.
