Benazir Kafaalat 2025: BISP roll out phase 1 of financial support

ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has officially rolled out the first phase of the Benazir Kafaalat 2025 program, under which financial assistance of Rs13,500 will be provided to eligible families.

Earlier, the Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid announced that the quarterly installment of the Benazir Kafaalat would be raised from 10,500 rupees to 13,500 rupees starting in January 2025.

During the first phase of the 2025 program, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) will cover districts several districts across the country. Every district in Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad has been included in this phase.

In KP, the citizens of Peshawar, Mardan, Upper and Lower Dir, will benefit from the program. Punjab’s eligible districts include Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Rawalpindi.

Sindh’s districts, including parts of Karachi and Hyderabad, are also part of the assistance program. As per the BISP officials, areas not included in the first phase will be addressed in the subsequent rollouts.

How to register for Benazir Kafaalat 2025

To access this financial aid, individuals must register at their nearest Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) office, providing necessary documentation such as a CNIC and proof of residence.

The registration process involves a biometric verification process after which applicants will receive confirmation and details about the payment schedule.

Benazir Kafaalat program was rolled out to directly support female heads of households, promoting financial independence and enabling them to meet basic needs such as food, education, and healthcare.

Apart from that, the BISP will release its December tranche on Thursday (today) in which 173,272 registered women beneficiaries will be able to get their BISP payments of Rs 10,500 per each across the District.

Deputy Director BISP Razia Yasmin said that as many as 11 campsites were set up in the district which will remain open from 9 am to 5 pm (Monday to Friday). The number of families benefiting from BISP will reach 10 million (1 crore) by the end of this year, the BISP chairperson said.
