ISLAMABAD: The federal government has launched the registration for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif program, here on Monday.
As per the details, this scheme, under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), offers conditional cash transfers to financially support families facing difficulties in funding their children’s education.
If your children are attending school from primary to higher secondary levels, they may qualify for the BISP Taleemi Wazaif.
To be eligible for the Taleemi Wazaif program, families need to be registered with BISP.
This program focuses on economically disadvantaged families, aiming to decrease school dropout rates and ensure children can continue their education. The key eligibility criteria are as follows:
Age Criteria:
Primary School: Children aged 4 to 12 years.
Secondary School: Youth aged 13 to 18 years.
Higher Secondary School: Students aged 19 to 22 years.
Enrollment:
The child must be enrolled in a school within Pakistan.
Good academic performance and attendance are mandatory.
Applying for the Taleemi Wazaif program is straightforward. Follow these steps to register your child:
Visit the Nearest BISP Office:
Locate your nearest Benazir Income Support Program office.
Obtain the Registration Form:
Collect the registration form for educational scholarships.
Provide Required Information:
Fill out the form with your child’s B-form number and your CNIC number.
Submit the Form:
Submit the completed form back to the BISP office.
Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation message signifying that your child has been conferred the scholarship.
When registering for the Benazir Taleemi Wazaif, ensure you have the following documents:
-Original CNIC Number
-Original B-form Number (issued by NADRA)
-Complete Home Address
-Signature of the School Principal

The program offers financial support on a quarterly basis, with different amounts assigned based on the educational level and gender of the child:
Primary Level:
Boys: PKR 1,500
Girls: PKR 2,000
Secondary Level:
Boys: PKR 2,500
Girls: PKR 3,000
Higher Secondary Level:
Boys: PKR 3,500
