ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Bilal bin Saqib has been removed from the ministry, sources say

According to sources, his profile as Minister of State has been removed from the Cabinet Division website.

As per details, Bilal bin Saqib was appointed Special Assistant to the Prime Minister in May 2025, holding a position equivalent to Minister of State. Recently, his profile was removed from the Cabinet Division website, indicating his removal from the ministry. Despite this, Bilal bin Saqib will continue to serve as chairman of the Virtual Asset Authority. Sources say the Secretary Cabinet is hesitant to confirm the division regarding his status. This development marks a significant change in the leadership of Pakistan’s cryptocurrency and blockchain sector.
