“Bilawal unveils PPP’s vision for Lahore, Calls for change & progress”

Bilawal asserted that the PPP represents the common people, aiming to change the fate of the country.

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed enthusiastic supporters in Lahore’s constituency NA-127, expressing his delight at being among dedicated party workers, known as “jiyalas.” During the corner meetings at Peco road Kot Lakhpat, Township, and General Hospital Metro Chowk on Sunday, Bilawal emphasized the historic significance of Lahore, highlighting its association with the legacy of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.

In his address, Chairman Bilawal refuted the notion that Lahore belongs solely to businessmen or traders, asserting that it is intrinsically linked to the PPP’s history. He stressed that the sacrifices of leaders like Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, and their supporters, will not deter the party’s commitment to serve the people.

Bilawal addressed the question of why the PPP has come to Lahore, countering with a historical perspective. He highlighted that previous leaders were imposed by military figures, whereas the PPP is in Lahore for the people, particularly the underprivileged. He urged the jiyalas to carry the message of the PPP’s 10-point economic agenda to every household in the area.

The key points of the economic agenda include doubling people’s salaries in five years, providing free electricity to the poor up to 300 units, ensuring free education for all, and delivering quality health facilities. Bilawal also unveiled plans for housing schemes, ownership rights for women, regularization of katchi abadis, and the extension of social welfare programs.

Emphasizing a departure from traditional politics, Bilawal asserted that the PPP represents the common people, aiming to change the fate of the country with its young leadership. He called on party supporters to contest the upcoming elections, promising victory for the PPP and the people of Lahore.

“InshaAllah you will be victorious, Arrow will be victorious, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be victorious. Most of all, the people will be victorious, you will be victorious, and the people of Lahore will be victorious,” concluded Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
