British diplomat booked in Islamabad for ramming car into cop

Islamabad: The Islamabad police have registered a case against the British diplomat who hit a policeman with a car on Constitution Avenue in Islamabad.

A case has been registered against the third secretary of the British High Commission for negligence and violation of traffic signals at the Secretariat police station.

According to the FIR, the British High Commission official jumped a traffic signal on the capital’s busiest road, and his speeding car collided with a policeman on a motorcycle.

The injured policeman has been identified as Ameer Dad Kakar, who was posted in the security division.

The motorcycle of the policeman was destroyed in the accident.

The British High Commission’s vehicle was impounded by the Capital Police, while the diplomat was allowed to leave after identifying himself.
