ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Hammad Azhar reappeared on Wednesday in Islamabad after almost a year in hiding.
Hammad Azhar reached the Central Secretariat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The former finance minister had disappeared from the public scene after the state launched a crackdown against the party leadership last year following the incidents of May 9.
After Azhar reappeared, Islamabad police reached PTI’s Central Secretariat to arrest him. However, according to the reports, he had already left for Peshawar.
Talking to the press, the senior PTI leader said, yesterday, I received a message from Imran Khan last night after the attack of party spokesperson Raoof Hasan.

“He directed that it is time for you to come out and join the party leadership,” he said at the party central secretariat in Islamabad.
Moreover, he added that I had come to meet Rauf Hassan today. “I will then go to Peshawar and seek interim bail and request more time. I will also appear in Punjab courts and will then leave the matter to the Almighty.”
