ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to field Hammad Azhar for the upcoming by-election in NA-129.
According to details that emerged on Saturday, if the former federal minister faces any legal complications in this regard, a ticket will be given to a member of Hammad’s family.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) has also considered fielding a big name in the by-election in this constituency.
Both the parties will make a final announcement after the schedule, which will be announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Mian Noman, Rana Mashhood and Mehr Ishtiaq have started lobbying.
It may be noted that this seat fell vacant after the death of senior PTI leader Mian Azhar.
