ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police has revealed its complete security measures and traffic control systems that will be implemented during Chaand Raat and Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
Islamabad will be provided with security by over 7,000 police officers and personnel who will work in collaboration with volunteers to provide safe and peaceful celebrations for the people of Islamabad.
The police department will deploy 3,000 officers to check the entry points of mosques, Imambargah, and open-air Eid celebrations through body screening checkpoints, which will regulate the entry of people into these places of worship.
The entry points of these places of worship will prohibit all types of parking activities. The Traffic Police will deploy 500 officers to regulate traffic in Islamabad, while special teams will be deployed to check one-wheeling and other violations of traffic laws by drivers.
Over 2,000 officers will be deployed to maintain law and order at parks, cemeteries, and other recreational places through the collective strength of foot police, bicycle police, and horse police.
Family parks have been designated as exclusive areas for families, while special women police units have been tasked with monitoring recreational areas during the celebrations of Eid.
The police departments, mobile police teams, Dolphin Squad police units, and police patrol units will be conducting the monitoring activities across the city.
It has been warned that illegal activities like aerial firing and stunts like one-wheeling will be strictly dealt with. The Islamabad police have assured the public that all resources would be utilized to ensure the security of the public during the celebrations of Chaand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr 2026.
