Rehmat Card Program
LAHORE: The Punjab government has launched the Rehmat Card program for deserving women, through which widows and destitute women and mothers supporting children will be able to get financial assistance from the government.
Under the Rehmat Card program, widows will be given financial assistance of one lakh rupees so that they can meet the basic needs of their lives and those of their children. In addition, mothers supporting children will be given assistance of up to Rs. 25,000 for one child and Rs. 50,000 for two children.

An assistance of one lakh rupees per family will be provided to orphans so that their living conditions can be improved and they too do not face financial difficulties.
Widows and orphans who had applied online in the Rehmat Card scheme of the Punjab government can check the status of their application from the link provided.
It may be recalled that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, while launching this program, had said that this initiative was necessary to protect the rights of women and improve their economic condition.
She further said that such programs would be helpful in bringing about change in the lives of women and making them independent.
