KOTLI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday paid glowing tribute to senior PPP leader Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen, describing him as a symbol of unwavering loyalty who stood by the party and the Bhutto family during their most challenging times.

Addressing a large public gathering in Kotli, Bilawal said that whenever he visits Kotli, he feels as if he has come home, adding that the relationship between the people of Kotli and the PPP is not merely political but one based on family bonds.

Recalling the difficult years of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s exile, Bilawal said the party had to live in London and other countries during challenging circumstances, but devoted workers never abandoned the PPP.

He singled out Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen for special praise, saying that true companions are recognized in difficult times. “Very few people remain steadfast during hardships, but Chaudhry Yaseen stood shoulder to shoulder with the party and the Bhutto family, setting an example of loyalty that will always be remembered,” Bilawal said.

The PPP chairman said he had directed the party leadership to award election tickets only to those workers and leaders who remained loyal to the party during difficult periods and prioritized public service over personal interests.

Bilawal urged party workers to unite behind PPP candidate Malik Zafar, calling on them to ensure his victory with a massive majority. He also expressed his desire to see the son of a veteran revolutionary representing the people in the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, saying the family had always remained committed to the people and the party.

Highlighting the PPP government’s performance, Bilawal said the party has been serving the people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for the past six months and is determined to deliver even better results after the upcoming elections.

He said the relationship between the PPP and the Kashmiri people spans three generations and is rooted in sacrifice, loyalty and public service.

Bilawal reaffirmed that the PPP has consistently raised the Kashmir issue at every international forum and will continue advocating for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

Calling the upcoming polls the most significant election in Azad Kashmir’s history, Bilawal urged voters to make a wise decision and assured them that the PPP would form the next government in AJK with victories across Kotli.

He concluded by asking party workers to intensify their election campaign, expressing confidence that the PPP would secure better results than in previous elections and emerge victorious across the region.
