Chicken price drops, Mutton, Beef still high in Lahore

LAHORE: The price of chicken has decreased in the provincial capital Lahore, but mutton and beef are still not available at official rates.

After a reduction of Rs 8 in the price of chicken, the new rate has been set at Rs 453 per kg.

As per details, the official price of mutton is Rs 1,600 per kg, but in the market it is being sold for up to Rs 2,600 per kg.

Similarly, beef is also not available according to the official rates, which is being sold for Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,400 per kg.

Citizens have expressed strong anger over the overcharging of mutton and beef and have demanded that the relevant authorities take immediate notice.
