Citizen booked for crossing motorway on foot

LAHORE: A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against a citizen for crossing the motorway on foot.

According to the Motorway Police spokesperson, the Motorway Police has registered a case at the Hanjarwal Police Station.

Citizen Sajjad Mahmood crossed the motorway on foot near Shadiwal, Lahore. An application has been made to register an FIR under Sections 290/291 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

According to the spokesperson, crossing the motorway on foot is a crime under the law. It leads to dangerous and fatal accidents. This irresponsible act has become the cause of many accidents.

The Motorway Police spokesperson appealed to the public to use footbridges to make their lives safer.
