PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, under Chief Minister (CM) Ali Amin Gandapur, has taken a major step towards paperless governance by shifting official summaries to an electronic system.

The CM recently signed the first e-summary, marking a significant advancement in digital administration.

The first e-summary was received by the Chief Minister through the online system, and he promptly approved it using his digital signature. This move eliminates the need for physical documents, streamlining the approval process.

Following the successful launch of the e-summary system, the government plans to introduce a digital note part (note sheet) in the next phase. This will further reduce reliance on paper-based workflows.

The provincial government is also transitioning official communications, notifications, orders, and cabinet meeting documents to the e-system. This shift aims to enhance efficiency and reduce delays in administrative processes.

CM highlighted that the initiative will save time, reduce resource wastage, and improve transparency in government operations. Digitization is expected to boost the overall performance of government departments.

In addition to official affairs, the KP government is working on digitizing public service delivery. Several services have already been moved to digital platforms as part of the Digital Governance Roadmap.

Ali Amin Gandapur reiterated the government’s commitment to transforming the province into a fully digital Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The initiative aims to modernize governance and improve service delivery for citizens.
