LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced special bonuses for Christian employees of the Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to mark Good Friday and Easter.
Under this announcement, Christian employees working for LWMC will receive a bonus of Rs5,000 each in honor of their religious festivals.
This decision was made following directives from CEO Babar Din, and the HR department of LWMC has issued an official notification regarding the matter.
The bonus will be granted to a total of 9199 sanitary workers, 73 supervisors, 250 drivers, and 6 helpers employed by LWMC.
To ensure the city’s cleanliness before Good Friday, a zero waste operation will be conducted, with all workers dedicating an additional 2 hours to fieldwork.

Furthermore, special efforts will be made to clean and prepare 266 churches across the city ahead of Easter ceremonies, along with conducting manual sweeping and scraping in 78 Christian colonies.
