LAHORE: The Punjab government has once again extended the deadline for the CM Punjab Laptop Program. This facility is being provided under the CM Punjab Laptop Program Phase II 2026.
The government has now allowed students from private universities to apply, which has increased interest among thousands of students. Students with email or data issues have been instructed to contact the focal person of their college or university and get their information corrected.
All federal chartered universities have also been included in this program, which has further expanded the scope of the scheme. Students of Allama Iqbal Open University will also be able to benefit from this facility.
To apply, it is necessary that the student has a domicile of any district of Punjab and is studying in an eligible program. This includes first or second semester BS students of public universities, colleges and some private and federal institutions.
Nursing students can also apply along with government medical and dental colleges. The admission session for eligibility must be 2025.
A minimum of 65% marks in Intermediate is mandatory for BS program. While 80% marks are required for MBBS and BDS.
A minimum of 75% marks are required for DVM students and 65% marks for Nursing. A minimum of 55% marks have been kept for non-Muslim students in BS program.
Blind students have been declared eligible for the laptop program without the condition of marks. However, students who have previously obtained laptops under any scheme will not be eligible again.
This scheme can play an important role in promoting digital education, however, due to strict merit, only eligible students will be able to benefit from it.
The online portal is now active and students can submit their applications till April 20, 2026.
