LAHORE: In a positive move, the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced exciting news for students who have achieved over 65% marks in intermediate part I- II that they will receive laptops.
This was conveyed during the announcement of the Honhaar Scholarship at the Government College Women’s University, Sialkot, where CM Maryam Nawaz disclosed that the first batch of laptops had already been delivered.
The Chief Minister herself chose the best and most well-equipped laptops for the deserving students. You deserve it since she meant they would, within no time at all, be provided to you personally by CM. “Laptops will be given to all students who scored above 65%,” she stated during the event.
CM Maryam Nawaz said she will be introducing reforms in the Honhaar Scholarship scheme. Out of the 30,000 scholarships being offered, 20,000 will be added, making it a total of 50,000 in the next budget.
The initiative will be expanded to benefit students in their second and third years as well. The Chief Minister also announced another major initiative, which is that 100,000 e-bikes shall be distributed free of cost to students in Punjab, providing a transport solution for their daily needs while making travel environmentally friendly.
To the attending students, Maryam Nawaz urged adherence and advised them against those that corrupt their endeavors. She said: “Pakistan is our red line, and we must remain loyal to our homeland”.
The CM asked the young people to stand by the truth and always stand by it and against the country.
