LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz again donned the police uniform when she attended the passing out parade of the province’s Elite Force today.

She was seen in the black uniform of the police force at the event.

Usman Anwar, the Punjab IGP, and leaders of the PML-N escorted her to the Lahore ceremony. The former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam was invited as a chief guest at the function.

She also gave an overview of the police department and presented awards to the cadets who excelled.

She also showed up in April for a passing-out ceremony where ladies in Punjab police uniforms were dressed as constables and traffic aides.

Politicians from other parties criticized her choice to wear a police uniform, which had created quite a commotion.

“After wearing the police uniform for the first time, I have realized that being a police officer or being sworn in as a CM is a very responsible job. In the chief minister’s office, we take decisions and you get them implemented,” she said on April 25.
