COAS Gen Asim Munir visits CMH Bannu, inquires after injured soldiers

BANNU: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bannu and visited the security personnel injured in the terrorist attack.

He also attended the funeral prayers of the martyred soldiers and paid tribute to their great sacrifices.

According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir also visited Corps Headquarters Peshawar, where he was briefed on counter-terrorism operations and the current security situation in the region.

He was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar.

Reiterating the state’s firm resolve to eradicate terrorism, Field Marshal Asim Munir said that the facilitators of terrorism will be brought to justice and the true face of terrorism will be exposed before the world.

He assured the nation that the blood of every innocent Pakistani will be avenged.

He also stressed the importance of enhancing the capabilities of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and pledged full cooperation in strengthening the operational capacity of law enforcement agencies and security agencies.

During his visit to CMH Bannu, the Army Chief met with injured soldiers.

He said that the entire nation is united in its resolve to uproot terrorism once and for all.
