Court extends physical remand of accused in TikToker Sana Yousaf murder case

ISLAMABAD: Judicial Magistrate in Islamabad has extended the physical remand of the alleged killer in TikToker Sana Yousaf’s murder case, according to media reports.

The accused was presented before the court after the completion of a four-day physical remand. The prosecution demanded for further remand for further investigation.

Prosecution representatives Adnan Ali, Raja Naveed Hussain, and Mazhar Bashir appeared in court to request an extension to the remand for further investigation.

The court was informed by prosecutor Raja Naveed that although the accused’s car has already been found, the cell phone is still being sought.

“The accused is purposefully avoiding the recovery of the mobile phone because he is very sly and aware of the seriousness of his crime,” Raja Naveed said.

A seven-day extension was asked for by the prosecution. Nonetheless, the court ordered officials to re-present the accused on June 23 and granted a three-day remand.

Earlier, the court directed a medical check-up of Hayat and his return on June 20, 2025. He was earlier detained in Adiala Jail for an identification parade that confirmed his identity.
