SAHIWAL: In a bizarre incident, a father and son have been the subject of cases pertaining to murder, poisoning, and the unreported burial of dead bodies, the police has started the investigation into the heinous crime.

According to the police report, the incident began on December 12 when family members consumed sugarcane after drinking tea at Amir Ali’s home in Chak 554 GB, area Baqir Shah.

This seemingly harmless act led to blisters appearing in their mouths, prompting them to seek medical attention at Ayesha Memorial Hospital in Mamu Kanjan and later at Civil Hospital Sahiwal.

Tragically, the situation took a devastating turn, resulting in the deaths of four children: two-and-a-half-year-old Ali Imran Amir on December 15, five-year-old Zahra Bibi on December 17, Noor Fatima on December 22, and 13-year-old Ali Ahmed Amir on December 23.

The police investigation, led by SHO Mamu Kanjan, Ilyas Baig, and Assistant Commissioner Tandlianwala, has revealed that the children’s relatives, Amir Ali Sultan and Abdul Ghani Amir, who lived in 554 GB, would immediately bury the deceased in their cemetery without notifying the authorities.

The accused allegedly poisoned the children, leading to their deaths, and then secretly buried them to conceal the evidence and the crime. The body of Ali Ahmad was taken to the hospital for a post-mortem examination, which will hopefully shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the children’s deaths.

According to SHO Mamu Kanjan, Ilyas Baig, the family members chose not to inform the police about the children’s deaths in an attempt to hide the crime, but the truth will come to light once the post-mortem report is released.
