Man arrested for raping housemaid in absence of wife in Lahore

LAHORE: Police in an area of ​​Lahore have arrested a man for allegedly raping his domestic worker when his wife was not at home.

A police spokesperson said the operation was carried out after receiving a call from Shadman area on 15. He said the accused had called the domestic worker to his house for work when his wife was away somewhere.

As soon as the domestic worker reached her house, the accused raped her and threatened her with dire consequences if she shared the incident with anyone.

Police have registered a case against the accused, identified as Tahir, and handed him over to the Gender Cell.

SP Model Town Akhlaq Tarrar has said that those who exploit women do not deserve any concessions.

Earlier this month, a policeman was arrested in Lahore’s Manawan area for raping a beggar woman.

Police said the suspect also opened fire on a person who was trying to stop him and was recording the incident.

The DIG Operations said that the suspected policeman was posted at Shafiqabad police station, adding that strict legal action would be taken against him.
