MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant has set the record straight amid rumours of a possible marriage by firmly rejecting Mufti Qavi’s marriage proposal.

The actress has been in the headlines on social media due to speculations of her marriage to Qavi, but now she has clarified her stand in a new message that has gone viral.

Speaking to Indian media, Rakhi clarified that she is not serious about marrying Mufti Qavi. “I don’t know if he has 100 wives or 900, but I am a million women on my own, and he won’t be able to handle me,” Rakhi said confidently.

The actress added that she is still searching for true love, which she is yet to find in India. “Many people follow me, but they only want to use me and my fame,” she added.

When asked about the possibility of visiting Pakistan, Rakhi boldly replied, “If Modi can visit Pakistan, why can’t I? What can a cleric do when a couple agrees?”

Rakhi also took a moment to praise Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, calling her a “good and decent girl.”

This public backlash comes after Mufti Qavi had earlier made headlines by claiming that his marriage to Rakhi was scheduled for February 14. He had even invited a show host to attend the ceremony as a witness.

While rumours continue to circulate, Rakhi’s rejection of the marriage proposal has put an end to the speculations for now.
