Police mobile came under attack in Lakki Marwat

LAKKI MARWAT: Militants in the Paharh Khel Pakka area of Lakki Marwat targeted the police mobile on Wednesday, according to the police official.

The heavy exchange of gunfire between the law enforcement and the terrorist resulted in the injuries of a police constable and a civilian, Police said.

Additional forces and armour vehicles have been summoned to secure the area and to pursue the assailants. While, the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and care.

In a separate event, a Jirga in Lakki Marwat turned violent, killing at least four people and injuring five more.

According to police reports, the incident occurred when two factions exchanged gunfire in the Gandi Chowk near Jirga.

Earlier, two policemen were killed in a terrorist attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s district of Lakki Marwat.

The murdered cops, Khan Bahadur and Hikmatullah, were on their way to the duty station when they were shot near the Jabo Khel region, according to the police.

Law enforcement officers arrived at the crime site and began searching for the perpetrators, who had fled after the assault.
