LAHORE: A teenage girl identified as Fatima Zahra, having US citizenship, reportedly kidnapped from the Sundar area of Lahore, has been safely recovered from Jhang district, the police official confirmed on Wednesday.

The 14-year-old girl was allegedly seduced and abducted by a suspect named Hassan, who has since been taken into custody and is facing abduction charges, said the police.

A Special team was assigned to the case by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Investigation Zeeshan Raza, leading the successful recovery of the girl and her safe return to her parents.

The kidnapping was initially reported by her mother at the Sundar Police Station. The minor girl was manipulated by the suspect, confirmed the authorities.

The Police, using surveillance and tracking methods, traced the suspect’s movements and located both the suspect and the victim in Jhang.

“Protecting the lives and property of citizens is our top priority,”  DIG Raza emphasized that a comprehensive prosecution file is being prepared to ensure the strict accountability of the suspect.

SSP Investigation Muhammad Naveed announced commendation certificates for the officers involved in the recovery operation.
