CTD eliminates three terrorists in Balochistan

QUETTA: Balochistan Police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in collaboration with FC and Police successfully foiled a terrorist plot through an operation based on intelligence provided by the agencies, resulting in three terror attacks.

In a statement released by the security forces, CTD Balochistan and law enforcement agencies have achieved a major success by conducting a successful intelligence-based operation, saving Balochistan from yet another major disaster.

The statement said that intelligence agencies had identified the presence of BLA terrorists in various areas including Rehsham and Musakhel districts where the terrorists were planning attacks on key installations.

Regarding the operation, it was informed that CTD, FC and Police carried out a successful joint operation to surround the terrorist group late at night, after which a heavy exchange of fire took place.

In the exchange, three terrorists were killed, and two were captured alive, while five to seven terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness, the statement added.

According to the security forces, efforts are on to chase the escaped terrorists.

Moreover, arms and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists, interrogation of the arrested terrorists is going on.

CTD Balochistan has also registered a case against the terrorists involved in the incident.
