Daylight shooting in Islamabad’s I-8 Markaz claims life of man

ISLAMABAD: A brazen daylight shooting in Islamabad’s Sector I-8 on Friday morning left one man dead. Eyewitnesses reported that gunmen in a Hilux vehicle opened fire on a car, injuring the driver.

The victim, identified as Qamar Raja from Mandi Bahauddin, attempted to flee but was pursued by the assailants.

Raja managed to escape into a nearby building in Sector I-8 Markaz, but the gunmen caught up to him, dragged him out, and shot him dead before fleeing the scene. Police sources indicate that the killing may be linked to an old family feud.

A case has been registered against unidentified assailants, and investigations are underway. The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of citizens in the capital city.
