Deadly firing in Capital leaves two women dead, one injured

ISLAMABAD (APP): Bhara Kahu Police Station limits witnessed a tragic firing incident when unknown armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire inside a house in Mohallah Rajgan, resulting in the death of two women, while another woman sustained injuries. The attackers fled the scene after the incident.
An official told APP on Sunday that the assailants forcibly entered the house and opened fire, critically injuring three women. As a result, Asma Bibi, wife of Aziz, aged 30 years, and Kausar, aged 35 years, lost their lives on the spot, while Saima Bibi, aged 30 years, sustained serious injuries.
The official said that police teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information, secured the area and collected forensic evidence. The bodies of the deceased women and the injured victim were shifted to PIMS Hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza also visited the crime scene and directed officers to utilize all available resources to trace and arrest the culprits at the earliest. He ordered the formation of special investigation teams and stressed that those involved would be brought to justice without delay.
Police have launched a search operation in the area, while investigations are underway to determine the motive behind the attack. The suspects remain at large.
