RIYADH: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Saudi Arabia to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Executive Committee.
At Madinah Airport, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, and Ibrahim bin Muhammad Saeed Alsobhi, Director General of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Madinah Branch, welcomed Dar.
Moreover, the meeting is called at the request of Iran and Palestine and will focus on the ongoing Israeli atrocities and crimes against Palestine and other regional issues, according to a Foreign Office spokesperson.
During his visit, Dar offered prayers at the Roza-e-Rasool in Madinah and paid homage to the Shuhada-e-Uhud at Jabal-e-Uhud.
Earlier, the Iranian Acting Foreign Minister requested the Deputy Prime Minister to participate in the Extraordinary Meeting of the OIC being convened at the Foreign Ministers level.
