DIG Traffic orders strict license checking in all districts

LAHORE: Strict action is being taken against drivers driving without a license in Punjab. DIG Traffic Punjab Muhammad Waqas Nazir has directed to tighten license checking in all districts to ensure complete compliance with traffic laws.

According to the spokesperson, more than 117,000 challans were issued to unlicensed drivers across the province last month. 11,000 in Lahore, 20,000 in Faisalabad and more than 8,000 people were arrested and fined.

DIG Traffic Muhammad Waqas Nazir warned the citizens that driving without a license is a crime and not only fines but also legal action is taken under the law. Citizens should immediately get a driving license to avoid fines and ensure compliance with traffic laws.
