Dubai Virtual visa: Check eligibility, monthly income requirement

ABU DABHI: Pakistani professionals who are working on remote work can acquire a one-year virtual visa of Dubai to enjoy the stunning lifestyle of the UAE’s emirate while undertaking their work without any hassle.

With Dubai Virtual Visa, digital nomads are allowed to reside there for up to one year and it can be renewed if the applicant is eligible.

The Dubai government has implemented several eligibility criteria for individuals willing to obtain the virtual visa. The minimum monthly income is one of the major requirements.

Requirement for Dubai Virtual Visa

To become eligible for the Dubai visa, the following requirements need to be fulfilled by the applicant:

  • The applicant should have a job in a foreign company or a business registered outside the UAE.
  • One-year validity of the work contract

Minimum Income for Dubai Visa

The applicant must also provide proof of his/her monthly income. The minimum monthly income to obtain a Dubai visa is AED 12,856.

The exchange rate as of today is 1 AED = Rs76.79. Thus, you will need Rs987,212 monthly income to obtain the visa.

Documents Required

  • A passport with a validity of at least 6 months
  • Health insurance
  • Proof of business ownership or employment
  • Clean criminal record certificate
  • Passport-size photo
  • Salary slip or last three months’ bank statements
  • Proof of residence

Where to Apply

Digital professionals who are interested in this visa can apply through the GDRFA Dubai online portal. The applicant also has the option of visiting Amer Centers in Dubai to apply in person.

The application fee for the Dubai Virtual Visa is AED 372.5. Once the applicant enters the Dubai, he/she will be subjected to a medical fitness test prior to his/her getting Emirate ID and visa stamping.
