Earthquake strikes Swat region, tremors felt across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

SWAT: A moderate earthquake hit the Swat region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, causing tremors to be felt across the area and neighboring districts.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department reported that the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 151 kilometers. The epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range.

Fortunately, no significant damage or casualties have been reported so far, but authorities are still assessing the situation. Emergency services are urging residents to remain calm and be vigilant for potential aftershocks.

The earthquake has served as a reminder of the region’s seismic activity, and residents are advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
