ECP declares PTI & SIC lawmakers as independents in new assembly lists

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the party positions of political parties in the provincial and national assemblies.

The Election Commission has declared all members of the Sunni Ittehad Council independent, according to the Election Commission, all members supported by PTI will also be considered independent.

The ECP says that the party positions of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh and the National Assembly have been rearranged, after the Supreme Court decision, the affiliation of the members with PTI or Sunni Ittehad Council will not be visible.

The Election Commission has issued a notification in light of the Supreme Court’s August 25 order. The Election Commission has released new lists related to party positions in the assemblies.
