Educational institutions extended holidays

QUETTA:  The Balochistan government has announced the extension of holidays for educational institutions across the province until March 31.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Balochistan Shahid Rind said that the situation is being continuously reviewed and the next course of action will be decided according to the circumstances.

He appealed to parents to maintain the education and educational activities of their children at home.

Similarly, educational institutions in Punjab will remain closed until March 31. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that this decision has been taken in view of the ongoing war situation in the region and the petroleum crisis.

She clarified that the exams will be held as per the schedule and educational institutions can continue education through online classes.

In Sindh too, as part of energy conservation measures, the provincial cabinet has approved the closure of educational institutions until March 31, however, the exams will be held at their scheduled time so that the education system is not affected.

Education experts say that despite the extension of the holidays, parents and teachers should ensure that children maintain their studies and academic habits so that education is not disrupted after the holidays. The aim of this measure is to protect children and teachers as well as save energy and other resources.
