Educational institutions to be closed for four-day across Punjab

LAHORE: Reports are circulating that Punjab’s interim government has allegedly announced four-holiday in all public and private educational institutions due to security threats.

According to the media reports, educational institutions will remain closed from tomorrow to January 28 due to security concerns. The official confirmation could not be sought.

A notification is circulating, which is yet to be verified, said that all educational institutions (schools, Colleges and Universities) across Punjab (Public and Private) will remain closed from 25 January 2024 till 28th January 2024 in connection with security concerns to control situation of law and order in the province.

Few days back, administrative authorities took the decision to close down several universities in Islamabad, including Bahria, Air, and Defence university, citing security concerns. Despite this measure, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Chief of Islamabad Police, reassured the public that the overall situation in the capital city was well under control. He urged people not to be swayed by any unfounded rumors related to the matter.
