Eid-ul-Fitr 2024: Sharia Board fixes Fitrana & Fidya amount in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The Sharia Board Pakistan has fixed the Sadaqat-ul-Fitr and Fidya for every person for Ramadan at Rs 300.

The minimum amount of Fitrana has been fixed at Rs 300 per person which is equivalent to 2 kg of wheat flour.

The ransom for non-fasting due to ill health or other reasons is Rs 300 per person.

Sharia Board Chairman Dr. Mufti Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Jalali has said that every citizen should pay Fitrana according to his ability.

Sadaqat-ul-Fitr & Fadiyah according to the prices of various food items:

600 rupees for dates, 2400 rupees for dates and 4400 rupees for raisins.

The Fidya of wheat flour for the entire Ramadan is fixed at Rs 9,000, against which Rs 18,000, Dates Rs 72,000 and raisins Rs 132,000.

Pay Fidya to those who are sick or unable to fast and there is no hope of recovery.

Qaza is obligatory on travelers and those who do not fast for any other reason, because Fidya cannot be a substitute for breaking the fast.

If a person misses the fast due to travel or other reasons, then it is necessary to fast on the alternate day.

Al-Fitr or Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim and must be paid before Eid.
