RAWALPINDI: Security forces on Sunday night foiled an infiltration bid through the Pakistan-Afghan border in the general area of North Waziristan’s Hassan Khel district, killing eight terrorists.

“Our forces effectively foiled their infiltration bid. After a fierce exchange of fire, eight Khawarij were killed, while four Khawarij were injured,” a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said here.

Pakistan has been consistently asking the interim Afghan government to ensure effective border management along the border. It is expected that the interim Afghan government will fulfill its responsibilities and deny the use of Afghan soil by Khawarij to continue their terrorist activities against Pakistan.
