KP Excise department announces auction of 40 special number plates

PESHAWAR: In a recent development, the Excise Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has decided to auction 40 more choice number plates.

The Excise Department says that the auction of choice number plates will be held on February 14. Choice number plates, including Syed, Qadri, Jatoi, Raja, Pashtun, and other choice number plates, will be offered in the auction.

In addition, number plates named after Khyber, Buner, Mohmand, Kohat, and other districts will also be put up for auction.

According to the Excise Department, the basic bid amount for a unique choice number plate has been set at Rs 1 million. If the number of bidders for a choice number plate is less than three, the auction of that number will be postponed.

The Excise Department said that Rs 100,000 will be collected as a security deposit from those wishing to participate in the bid, while the successful bidder will be required to pay the full amount immediately after the auction.

According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department, all stages of the auction will be completed transparently.
