PESHAWAR: In a tragic event, an Excise Department inspector, Aziz Muhammad, died, and four other constables were injured in an accident in Swabi, according to a media report.
Rescue 1122 quickly rushed towards the accident spot and provided initial medical care to the injured, and later on, the seriously injured were shifted to Bacha Khan Medical Complex.
The injured were identified as Qamar Zaman, Mansoor, Salaar, and Muhammad Ijaz. All of them belong to the Karak district and the Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The deceased, Aziz Muhammad, 39, hailed from Bajaur district. An investigation has been launched to identify the cause of the accident.
Earlier, five members of the same family, including siblings, died in a horrific traffic accident.
According to Rescue 1122, five people, including a woman, were killed in a horrific traffic accident near Kadri Khesur on Chashma Road in Paharpur tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Initial reports indicate that the accident occurred between a car and a Hino truck, as a result of which all the people lost their lives on the spot.
Rescue personnel immediately reached the accident site upon receiving the information, removed the bodies from the vehicle, and shifted them to Paharpur Hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Roda Munir, Muhammad Mutasim, Muhammad Talha, driver Waseemullah, and Tufail.
A sister and two brothers were also among the deceased.
