BAHAWALPUR: At least six people injured after a gas leakage resulted in the explosion at the Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies building inside Islamia University Baghdad Al-Jadeed campus in Bhawalpur on Thursday.
Half of the building collapsed due to the strong blast in the university premises. Director of the institute Dr. Abdullah among faculty members who injured.
Two students and two staff members are also among those hurt in the explosion and were being transferred to Bahawal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
According to the rescue officals, the two of the injured suffered severe burns from the fire that followed the chemical explosion.
