Minor girl loses life in accidental firing by father in Karachi

KARACHI: Tragedy struck in Karachi’s FB Area Block-3 when an 11-month-old girl lost her life in a devastating accident. Her father, while cleaning his pistol, inadvertently discharged the weapon, resulting in the toddler’s fatal injury.

The police promptly arrested the grief-stricken father, who confessed to the accidental firing in his initial statement. An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

In a separate incident in Raiwind, a five-year-old boy suffered injuries after being hit by a stray bullet. His uncle, while cleaning a pistol, accidentally fired the weapon, causing the child’s injury.

The police responded swiftly, recovering the pistol and arresting the uncle. Every year several people lose their lives while uncarefully handling the gun resulting in the tragics and sudden deaths. The incidents highlight the importance of gun safety and responsible weapon handling.
