ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)has established a new customs station at the Pak-Iran border to facilitate passenger movement and package examination of personal belongings that arrive from Iran.

According to a notification issued through SRO 530(I)/2026, the new customs station named Jeerak has been established in District Panjgur.

The new system has been created to make it easier for passengers to travel while bettering the process which people use to cross international borders.

The current development continues previous efforts, which aimed to improve trade activities and transportation links at the Pak-Iran border. The government opened a new crossing point in the Kohak Cheedgi area of Panjgur, which became operational in January 2025 to support legal trade activities and economic development in Balochistan.

The Jeerak station serves as another project that enhances border infrastructure while enabling controlled border crossings and promoting increasing commercial and travel activities between Iran and Pakistan.
