ISLAMABAD: The federal government has taken a historic decision to implement a rotation policy in the civil armed forces.
According to sources, the federal cabinet, while approving the summary of the Ministry of Interior, has endorsed the principle framework for rotation among the civil armed forces, which aims to improve operational capabilities and exchange professional experience.
Sources say that in the initial phase, rotation will be done between the Pakistan Rangers and the Frontier Corps.
Under this policy, Sindh and Punjab Rangers will be deployed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, while the deployment of Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan personnel will be implemented in Sindh and Punjab Rangers.
According to sources, the rotation process in the civil armed forces will be done keeping in mind the operational needs and security requirements, so that the personnel serving in different areas can gain practical experience of diverse challenges.
It should be noted that the Civil Armed Forces include the Punjab Rangers and Sindh Rangers, while Frontier Corps North and Frontier Corps South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also part of the Civil Armed Forces.
Similarly, Frontier Corps North and Frontier Corps South Balochistan, Pakistan Coast Guards, and Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts are also included in the Civil Armed Forces. According to sources, the rotation policy in the Civil Armed Forces will not only increase institutional harmony but will also significantly improve efficiency and professionalism in internal security-related operations.
