RAWALPINDI: Fire erupted in the food court of Giga Mall, a shopping mall in Rawalpindi, on Monday, prompting people to evacuate the building.
The initial reports suggested that the fire erupted on the third floor of the mall, which has multiple eateries.
Fire Bridage vehicles immediately rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire. Rescue and police officials reached the spot and started evacuation from the building.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and authorities are currently investigating the incident.
Earlier last month, a fire broke out in a clothing store located in Rawalpindi’s Saddar Bazaar. Over 10 firefighters actively engaged in battling the blaze, including 4 fire tenders and 7 emergency vehicles.
