Flights schedule for Hajj Pilgrimage 2025 released

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that the first flights bringing Hajj 2025 pilgrims will start arriving in Saudi Arabia next week, with a staggered arrival pattern to facilitate the process.

The first flight is from South Africa on April 28, as the pilgrimage season begins. On April 29, flights from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh will arrive, followed by pilgrims from Indonesia on May 2.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said that all preparations for welcoming the pilgrims are now in place and everything is all set for the millions who will perform the sacred journey in Makkah.

Meanwhile, for the Hajj, the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has issued important guidelines for intending pilgrims. It is mandatory to take the required vaccination and obtain a Yellow card from the Haji camp before leaving to Saudi Arabia. Pilgrims will have to present a valid vaccination certificate to enter Saudi Arabia. Persons above 65 years of age will have to carry their COVID-19 vaccination card.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has warned pilgrims to remain vigilant against fake permits and to complete their travel to Saudi Arabia only with a valid and authentic Hajj permit; it said all preparations for the Hajj 2025 operation are done, with the first flight from Pakistan on April 29.

A total of about 89,000 Hajj pilgrims will travel to Makkah and Madinah under the government scheme, and on the first day of the Hajj operation, six flights are scheduled to take off.

The last scheduled flight is on May 31, which coincides with the last day of the Hajj pilgrimage season.
