PIA to begin pre-Hajj flight operations from THIS date!

Around 150 flights cancelled in Pakistan: Here's why!

ISLAMABAD: The national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), is all set to start pre-Hajj flights from April 29, which will facilitate thousands of pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year.

As per the schedule, PIA’s first Hajj flight will depart from Islamabad on April 29, with flights also taking off from Quetta and Multan on the same day, taking pilgrims directly to Madinah.

The operation will continue with a PIA flight departing from Lahore to Madinah on April 30, followed by a flight from Karachi on May 2.

PIA has made special arrangements to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.

Meanwhile, a 47-member Saudi delegation will arrive at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport on Sunday under the “Road to Mecca” project.

The delegation will first arrive at Islamabad International Airport and is expected to reach Karachi by afternoon. During their visit, the team will review the immigration arrangements under the project.

Under the “Road to Makkah” initiative, Pakistani pilgrims will complete their immigration clearance at Karachi Airport instead of arriving in Saudi Arabia. This pre-clearance process will allow pilgrims to exit the airport directly after landing in Saudi Arabia, significantly facilitating their travel experience.
